MISSION SUPPORT

During October and November, we will take a special offering for Northern Illinois Synod Mission Support. This is our gift to the synod, much like your offering is your gift to our congregation.  Since finances have been tight, we have not given to Mission Support yet this year. That affects the ability of the synod to function on our behalf. The synod has obligations to churchwide, seminaries, training rostered ministers, campus ministries, Lutheran Social Services, and so much more. We do things together as a synod that we cannot do alone. Please prayerfully consider a special gift to the synod so that we might meet our obligation to them. A member of the congregation, who wishes to remain anonymous, has issued a challenge: If the congregation's offering totals $1,000, this donor will match that amount. There are special offering evelopes on the table in the narthex.
